You know better than most that running a dental laboratory in 2025 requires adaptability, strong leadership and business acumen – as well as the latest technical knowledge. The Dental Technology Showcase programme is designed to give you all the latest you need to know on materials, processes, and technology, as well as an update on the landscape as a whole. Whether you have a few hours, one day, or the full two days - you will leave with all the information you need to succeed in 2025 and beyond.
This year’s headline speaker is none other than Gary Neville. Gary has ventures that span the worlds of hospitality, property, academia, media and sport. Gary’s Stock Exchange Hotel is one of the top hotels in Manchester, his University (UA92) is disrupting the traditional model, his £400m St Michael’s project is one of the landmark property developments in Manchester City Centre and he has also appeared as guest investor on Dragon’s Den. In conversation with Reena Wadia, he will share his insights on leadership, teamwork and resilience to inspire ideas across your business and personal development.
We’re delighted to continue our partnership with the DLA to bring you a jam-packed programme in the DTS Lecture Theatre. As a starting point, James Neilson and David Smith’s sessions will allow you to look to the future of the profession and your business. James will be discussing the changing landscape of education programmes for dental technicians and clinical dental technicians, while David will discuss apprenticeships and share how, with your leadership, they can develop your workforce.
Also in the DTS lecture theatre, you can learn how to optimise the digital workflow for the fabrication of full dentures with Lorenzo Pelizzari, discuss prosthetically driven workflows with Kristina Vaitelyte and update your knowledge on medical emergencies in the dental laboratory with Joy Botfield.
In the Dental Technicians Hub, you can choose from a range of sessions brought to you by our partners the OTA, Den-Tech, Nightshift, and the DTA. If you want to hear more about dental photography beyond the chair then you can join Richard Egan on Friday afternoon, or if you want to consider the future of digitally designed 3D printed immediate load, then you can join Davide Accetto on Saturday morning. If you’re interested in snoring and sleep apnoea devices then you shouldn’t miss Matt Everatt’s session on Friday morning. Also on Friday, Kristina Vaitelyte and Deepa Bharakhda will be sharing their insight into integrating analogue and digital in full arch rehabilitation.
In the world of digital dentistry, and new for this year, we are working with the International Digital Dental Academy to bring you an exciting new 360-degree stage that will allow you to see close-up the intricate work being performed. Join IDDA in the Digital Dentistry Theatre for their LIVE sessions on topics ranging from Miyo stain & glazing monolithic restorations with kronos blocks, to how to avoid complications during simple implant planning and printing, and sending the virtual twin to the lab.
These are just some of the sessions that you could choose to attend at DTS this year – have a look at the full programme here and start planning your visit!
