Sir Nairn Wilson is President Emeritus of the College of General Dentistry and Professor Emeritus of Dentistry, King's College London.
During his 55 years to date in dentistry, Sir Nairn has held many, different senior positions, including President of the General Dental Council and British Dental Association and Dean of King's College London Dental Institute, the University Dental Hospital of Manchester and the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Following the award of the University of Edinburgh Medal for Dental Technology in 1973, Sir Nairn has maintained a keen interest in different aspects of dental technology. In 2023, Sir Nairn was appointed the DTA's first Ambassador.
